This week we went on a sound walk around school. We were surprised at all the different sounds we could hear and how they were being created.
We became grammar detectives and worked collaboratively to discover all the nouns in a picture form our class study book ‘Belonging’ by Jeannie Baker.
We visited Bury Transport Musuem to explore the history of transport.
Thanks to East Lancashire Railway, we had a fabulous day discovering the different forms of transport and how they have transformed over the years. We combined our learning with a real life experience, traveling from Bury to Rawtenstall on a steam train and creating our own forms of transport using wheels and axles.
LKS2 enjoyed their visit to church and were amazing ambassadors for our school. Father Francis made everyone very welcome and aided our understanding of how God welcomes us all.
